Milan who?!?!?! BARÇA IN THE FINAL!!! "Nos vemos en París"

YESSS!!! BARÇA MADE IT TO THE FINAL!!!

For the first time since 1994 and it was well deserved throughout the whole competition. Best team, funniest team to watch, best player (Ronaldinho), best "rookie" (Messi) and best coach, RIJKAARD!!! Once a "one in the World" quality player for Ajax, Milan and the Dutch National squad he is proving himslef as a very, very good coach, probably the best one on Europe these days, and as he is receiving not much credit at all, I had to give Frank some props!!!

Barça played OK in the first half, Eto´o yet again missed to very, very clear goal chances and the team displayed a horrible preformance in they second half but hey, they held their own against Milan which is not that bad after all, considering we´re heading to Paris!!!! (yeaaaaaaaah)

Man of the match has to be either Edmilson (so figure out how bad the team played for some stretches of the game...) or Iniesta who is to be called up by Luis Aragonés for the World Cup squad, MARK MY WORDS (bets accepted)!!! The youngster is really starting to display his real potential just when this season is coming to a finish and is absolutely taking control over the tempo of the game compared to Van Bommel´s inconsistency and considering Deco´s lack of strength, which is quite worrying. Hopefully he´ll be able to rest a bit the weeks before the final and be fit enough for 90 minutes on the highest level, we need that guy!!!

Giuly is gaining back his old form and speed so dispite his up and down play he´ll be an important asset from here to the ened of the season maybe even clinching a spot in France´s World CUp roster (who´s gonna get crushed anyway by the Swiss but let´em have their illusions).

Our left back is and will be a problem unless we bring someone on board at the end of the season. Gio is a poor defender and he´s not even to be seen on offense as of lately while Sylvinho is just a so-so defender. Let´s just keep one of them (or even both and play Gio more in the midfield) but we need to look for a left back!!!

... and hell, I am tyred already. It was a tense journey today with such a big game looming over my head for the whole day!! It´s just awesome that we won and entering a Champions League Final be kicking out both, Milan and Chelsea, makes it even sweeter.

VISCA EL BARÇA, SIEMPRE!!!

P.S. Random notes:

  • Pernía received Spanish citizenship and might be called up for the Spanish World Cup squad.
  • I´m 5-0 for game 2 of the NBA Playoffs in every series played so far...
  • Awsome weather in London today. No jacket needed for the first time!! :)
  • Dodgy decision not to concede Sheva´s goal............
